I started consulting a startup building a new financial planning and budgeting web application for startups, small businesses and non-profits. It has been an amazing journey being part of designing something from scratch and using AI. My role has been on product strategy in envisioning and roadmap for the direction of the user experience. I also took on the challenge in designing the design system and component library with the help of AI tools like Claude, Builder.IO and Vibe coding.

I used AI to brainstorm ideas and build concept screens. This accelerated things and got us talking about the things we need to figure out, and it helped us get ideas in front of customers. We did a lot of interviews and user testing of concepts. Then I took the concepts and built the design system in Figma. This was based on using Tailwind. We customized it to fit our needs and used Figma to drive the product forward. Another part of experience has been the Chat UI. AI is key part of this app is business planning and forecasting.
