I was hired as a Senior UX Designer for a new startup that was building an AI & Automation tool for indusrial distributors. The vision was to help mid sized distributors become more competitive and profitable by leveraging AI to do inventory forecasting and workflow automation. (product shown below)

The segment we were targeting were late adopters. This presented a real challenge. We needed to prove the value of our solution and show real world impact without disruption to their current operations. This required a deep understanding of their business and operations. There were many site visits and interviews conducted to undertand the pain points

My role became more strategic in helping the CEO and Head of Product envision the product direction. It was my first experience in working for a startup, and I found it exciting and fun being part of something new and having the opportunity to make impact quickly in a fast paced innovative environment.

The team started down the path of building an application that was complex and difficult to use. I helped show the team a different path. Simplifying and focusing efforts on experiences that really mattered. I I introduced the principles of progressive and contextual experiences to the product.
